(One-Off) ALFIE by UME Toys Drops April 29
WHO/WHAT-IS: "ALF is an American science fiction sitcom that aired on NBC from September 22, 1986 to March 24, 1990. Produced by Alien Productions, ALF originally ran for four seasons and produced 99 episodes, including three one-hour episodes which were divided into two parts for syndication totaling 102 episodes.
The title character is Gordon Shumway, a friendly extraterrestrial nicknamed ALF (an acronym for Alien Life Form), who crash lands in the garage of the suburban middle-class Tanner family." (Wiki)
The classic TV character might remain as a fond memory and in DVD boxed set for most folks, but for folks in the art toy news, here's a little surprise (not if you've been stalking Instagram @richpage tho :p) to stir up some #TBT-excitement!
UME TOYS PRESS: "Lock up your cats as Melmac's hairy little son is crash-landing into the UME store. Sculpted from scratch he sits around 5.5 inches tall and sports a cat collar accessory (left over from a sandwich filling no doubt). This one off tribute to my favourite 80's alien will be up for rehoming this Friday 29th April at 9:00pm London time via umetoys.bigcartel.com." (Richard Page for www.umetoys.net)
