What To Look Out For @ Popcorn Asia 2016
Popcorn Asia 2016 (Aug 12-14) is happening this weekend, and from my humble experience last year, this is one event in Indonesia not to be missed, IMHO! Here are a few collectible & custom toy-goodness to lookout for at the annual event held at Jakarta Convention Center (JCC):
Paulus Hyu x Kurobokan’s ”Brainfreeze Nimbus" Edition is limited to only 45pcs, with 15pcs to be released at Booth F17 EACH DAY at 12noon! #WANT
As well look for limited edition prints by Ikhwan Waliyudin Gani of Jakarta Based @tomodachistudio x Nimbus @nimbus.booboo, enamel pins Nimbus Latte (limited edition of 100pcs). Stay tuned to IG @paulushyu for further updates!

We saw the prototype last year, and this year @buncis.family's first resin figure from The Little Bunny Family will be ready to be adopted! Introducing BAE, a cheerful bunny, a bit clumsy, but lovely, and addicted to shopping. Limited to 20pcs, some of them have already been adopted by their new masters, with the rest to be had at Booth F16! All figures are hand painted by the creator. “SOTOY” (IG @so.toy) is ”a collective group of several peoples who make their imagination into things that they called toys & want share it to world” - and they will be filling their booth G14 with figurines; POWER ANGER Family from IKY (IG @iky.z), Riandi Sumadinata (IG @sumadinata), and stickers from Rifky M Isa (IG @rifkymisa)
TOPZTOY from Thailand will also be represented at Popcorn Asia, with their Poppie-colorway of JACKSTORM available exclusively via SOTOY booth G14 too! In an edition of only 9pcs, do not expect them to hang around for too long, people!
Kendy Tan will be offering up custom-painted "Punked" T-con (Toyconosaurus) at Booth G17 “Boron” - limited to only 5pcs, alongside Boron x Kum Golden Boron T-Shirt. Collaboration with the Golden Finger. Stay updated with IG @kendytan!
Erik Boyaxhiu debuts his ILUMIDOGGY and invites a host of artists to customize his long-eared doggie figure, on display at Booth G12! Full(er) images can be seen on his Instagram @illumidoggy!
Artist Tamish Aswani AKA Pronto Pixel readies a new colorway edition of his ISLANDHOOLIGAN plush - which’ll make a schweet add to last year’s edition! As well there’ll be tees and buttons (with IG @mutons_). Stay tuned to IG @prontopixel for further updates!
Customiser and toy-designer known as Kong Andri (IG @kongandri) will be having multiple presence at the annual event, with 3 x customs to be displayed at three booths: E16 with a custom Gwen the Corgi, custom Illimidoggy at G12, and his “Owange Shockbot” at Black Mavis’ booth G15! Also keep a lookout for his Owangebot enamel pin - in an edition of 100, available at the event and via his online store
Indonesia-based artist Eric Christian (IG @eric_noah) will be boothing alongside Mr KUM KUM (IG @mrkumkum) at E16, where he will be unleashing GWEN THE CORGI! I’ll have a separate blogpost dedicated to his lil’cutie, so stay tuned :)
