CE x POWWOW Boy by Tikky WAW (for #CExGlobalArtist)
MAFIA Factory shares with us their latest project, titled “CE x Global Artist”, with the very first edition to be released in this project being CE x POWWOW Boy by Tikky WAW!
The concept of this toy is from “Indian boy” by Tikky WaW’s imagination. Limited to only 100pcs - split between 50pcs for regular black plastic, and 50pcs for GID pink plastic - pre-order was made available via the CE Planet FB page but has since closed. It is currently available for purchase direct from Trendy @ JJ Mall and G Addict @ Siam Square in Thailand, and OZZO Collection in Singapore.
My friend Napat Phromphruk shared with us the genesis of the project;
"The purpose of this series came from an idea which we had wanted to have some collaboration with many friends from all over the world. Then we thought about making a Toy profile for MAFIA FACTORY's friends and release it every month, each artist from each country. Of which, the volume of production will be in 100 pieces, and mix with regular plastic and GID one. So, we started to discuss with some friends in our list and hope to release it once a month."

Pichet Rujivararat AKA “Tikky WAW” is a Thailand artist whom I met at CE Contest II when he represented the MAFIA FACTORY Team with Jeff Bazak at that time, check out his promotional video embedded below (In Thai language with no subs). Seen below that video is him with a larger-than-life CE design, which is as well a part of another larger-scaled project from Napat, which involves the country Thailand itself! But more of that when the project is more “concrete” :)
