Visiting Illustrator’s Market for Illustration Arts Festival 2016 (Oct 20-30, 11am-6pm) @ LASALLE College of the Arts
Finally managed to make my way down to LASALLE College of the Arts, for the inaugural Illustration Arts Festival - specifically of the Illustrator’s Market - opened October 29th, and closes Sunday October 30th (11am-6pm). LASALLE is also the venue for the various talks and workshops held in tandem with the market.
The tables are placed along the ground floor corridors and on the green, with said tables filled to the brim with art and illustration, in varied forms like PRINTS POSTCARDS, ZINES and SKETCHBOOKS and other merch, of that are quite a few to select from actually.
Funny story about “the green” (that I shared with Hillary Yeo), was that while I was lecturing at LaSalle years back for a short time (at the McNally St. campus), I don’t think I ever stepped foot on the green carpeted central arena in the campus! I was either up on the upper floors’ classes or the studio, or downstair at the steps leading out of the school (for my smoke breaks), and today would be the first time I am stepping on the green! HAHA

Here are some snaps I’d taken at around a balmy 3pm, and as well a video montage of what my “score” was, alas missing Pucky’s Pookie Circus figures (most of which sold out, except for GOOBY (The elephant, which I am utterly kicking myself now for not picking it up when I had it in my hands aaarrrggghhhh), and more zines and prints than I can afford, truth be told … *mansigh*
