THE ASTRONAUT by Kasing Lung x How2Work

I’ve seen this ASTRONAUT figure (designed by Kasing Lung and made by How2Work) but never really posted about it as information was pretty sparse … until today!

Wrong Gallery Taipei has since solicited the sale of this colorway on May 28th ON-SITE (NOT online), with this 18cm tall vinyl figure (on blister card back) priced at NTD$2,800 (US$93 / SG$128), and as of this post, since SOLD OUT (within an hour)! So we are left with images and info, and I am fine with that (*couldn’t afford this beauty anyways :p …).

“THE ASTRONAUT” was also on display at the recent Thailand Toy Expo (May 4-7, 2017 / pic above), and yes, the space-helmet is removable!

The design is inspired no doubt by the astronaut’s spacesuit in Stanley Kubrick’s 1968 “2001: A Space Odyssey”, and seems “yellow” will NOT be the only colorway to be had … maybe? :p
