MOGGIE "Watermelon Bird" Edition by Jink Wu x UCC for Beijing Toy Show 2018 (Sept 7-9)
I had been late to the toy-game to post about this character toy for some time now (admittedly I abhor being "late" :p), but with this latest slice of toynews, it felt like a perfect opportunity to feature "MOOGIE" = the macabre "bird's dew"-sucking feline! (Scroll thru to the bottom to see this first release and his backstory...) :p
Created by Beijing designer Jink Wu for Unusual Creation Club, the latest edition is set to be unleashed at the coming Beijing Toy Show 2018 (Sept 7-9), with scarlet "Watermelon Bird" Edition limited to only only 50pcs! Available via Booth C81 (Price Pending). 西瓜甜不甜？ :p
TOY STORY: "There are thousands of pet cats in the world, and MOGGIE is one of them. It looks very ordinary and clumsy. Its eyes are empty and not lovely at all. It is often adopted by the owner and then transferred to others, or even abandoned directly. For this reason, it wanders in the double life of domestic cats and wildcats, and understands the law of the jungle very well. Instead of trying to fill up the belly to fawn on people, MOGGIE tried to negotiate with his new owner again and again: “Can we make friends with each other? And not just keeping the relationship between the pet and the owner? " Every time it is rejected, it will run away from home silently, and then linger around the corner, bring up a cup of his favorite drink "bird's dew", enjoy it, and empty himself."
ARTIST INTRODUCTION: "MOGGIE is created by a curly - hair office worker, Jink Wu. He goes to work in the daytime and becomes a fancier at night. His hobby is to study humanity and bestiality."
