KING DUX by Jimigrins to debut at New York Comic Con 2019
Making its debut at the coming New York Comic Con (Oct 3-6/2019) via the Tenacious Toys booth 780, is "KING DUX" by Jimi Grins, that reminded me tons of (Western) "urban vinyl" in the early-to-mid-2000s, and deserve a solo blog-feature, IMHO!
""Airtrain" is another way of saying aeroplane, in other words he's going places most have never gone! He's above the rest, the most high and is a nod to the greatest player of all time. This royal Dux comes from a long line of kings and the size of the crown really lets you know just how much of a king he really is!"
Two colorways/editions will be made available: The "Airtrain" (#23) and "Big Bird" (#33) Edition. And while I can guess the #23-reference (Jordan?), I am kinda stumped when it comes to #33 ... (I'm not what you would call a huge NBA-fan :p).
Designed and produced by Jimi Grins (Insta @jimigrins / Product Designer and Artist working from his studio in New Zealand), King Dux is sized 6.5 inches tall, and feature zero articulation, the US$95 priced vinyl figure will come packed in a deluxe art box.
Subsequent online availability here on October 5th or 6th, song with "All leftover items from the Tenacious Toys booth".
