"For Friendship 2" @ Woot Bear (Oct 26)


Closing off Woot Bear's 5th Anniversary celebration (*launched in September) is their ode to the artists in the community. Opening October 26th from 6-9pm, @wootbearbelly will be featuring works created by the following folks, some whose pieces are showcased here :)

Purity, my piece for the show this weekend at @wootbearbelly . She is hand-cast from resin with soft hair. She also has some iridescent makeup that's a bit hard to capture on camera. You'll have to see it in person at the gallery! Side note: I finished the whole piece, from sculpting the original to molding/casting and painting, in only ONE week!!! That's a record time for me! The sculpting usually takes at LEAST a few days by itself to get it perfect. And molding in silicone takes at least 2 days for a two-part mold. Then if you account for my full-time job and stuff that life unexpectedly throws at you...it's a miracle I was able to do this all do quickly! It definitely made me feel more confident in my abilities, and shows how much I have grown as an artist!
