#toynews: Happy Lottery STAR WARS SAGA BE@RBRICKS in Japan (Available in 7-11)
And while I am bracing myself for The Rise Of Skywalker (having been spoilt with fanart on my social feeds and accidentally clicking on movie website DAMMIT), here's a yummy slice of toynews, featuring STAR WARS SAGA BE@RBRICKS, available at Seven-Eleven stores in Japan!
Dubbed "Happy Lottery" (*think "blind bagged" ala random pulls), there are 10 types of 100%-sized BBs to had, with each "Lottery" pull priced at 700 Yen (tax included) approx. US$6 / SG$9. The line-up includes the Red Sith Trooper, Kylo Ren, in addition to "classic" Chewbacca, C3PO, R2D2, Darth Vader, Darth Maul, BB8, Boba Fett and Jango Fett!
Coming in blister-carded, you might want to take note of their Lottery Prize numbers: #11-#20 :)
And while I am specifically featuring the Star Wars Bearbricks in this blogpost (above), this promotion from @HappyKuji includes a whole lot more Star Wars-themed prizes - 4 styles, in fact - for a total of 42 lottery prizes, which you can see on h-kuji.com, and featured on starwarsblog.jp (some images here via). I'm really liking the figurines with dioramic backdrops too ...
Either you check in with your fav retailer(s) for secondary market availability (and no doubt different final pricing), or thrall online auction sites, I reckon ... you might also want to consider direct from Japanese auction sites, perhaps? Sorry I don't have a specific www to point you towards :p - Happy Toy Hunting, anyways folks!
The promotion launched December 21st, FYI.
