"RELAX" Blind Box Series from INSTINCTOY x POPMART for March 19 Release
Japan's INSTINCTOY and POPMART will unleash their first blind box series titled "RELAX" starting March 19th (11:00 Japan time at instinctoy.com for Domestic Japan / 10:00 via POPMART's 127 stores & popmart.aliexpress.com). And while we've previously only seen renders & prototypes, "revealed" today are all 13 character pieces to be had in Series 1, which features Hiroto Okubo's character designs for INSTINCTOY manifest in new forms and poses - including HALLOWEEN INC, VINCENT vs LIQUID, CURIO, BOOO-MA, MUCKEY and GYAWO!
"For this product, to commemorate this first series, INSTINCTOY’s original characters released between 2008 and 2015 were redesigned according to a theme. That theme is 『RELAX』.
Usually, a soft vinyl figure "lives" on the shelf of the collector in a pose that is according to the owner’s preference. However, for this series, I designed the characters and their pose according to what I imagine they would look like taking a break, while no one is looking. I hope everybody enjoys the various relaxed designs of each individual character." (@instinctoy_hiroto_ohkubo).
Pictured+revealed here is also the Secret Character in the series: "ICE LIQUID" Floating Ice Edition (above) - with a "Contamination rate" of 1/144 - whereby Hiroto's Ice Liquid character melted because he was "too relaxed"! LOL
