Kevin Derken AKA @klav9 shares with TOYSREVIL images of his one-off pair of custom pieces scheduled to debut at "Arcade Invaders" group art show at Mothership Gallery opening this Saturday June 25th (at 6pm in Philadelphia and online at 7pm on Martiantoys.com).
"I'm a massive video game fanatic so this show is right up my alley. The pieces for the show are from my absolute favorite side scroller series of all time, Metal Slug (NeoGeo). I've literally bought the games over and over again on every gaming system. I scratch built one of the enemy tanks from Metal Slug 2 using model parts from WW2 tanks and sci-fi kits and turned a 6" TEQ63 (Quiccs) into Marco (one of the playable characters). Each piece is one off, and hand painted and distressed with lacquer and oil paints." (@klav9)
FYI: If attending the show physically in Mothership Gallery, masks are required and limited people will be allowed in the gallery at a time.
