"One Piece" by Fools Paradise (for BUSTERCALL 2020)
Hong Kong-toy brand Fools Paradise is spectacularly known for their pop-culture appropriated designer collectibles, but this latest reveal might well be their first LICENSED collectible yet! Introducing their "ONE PIECE" pair!
This pair is apart of the "BUSTERCALL = ONE PIECE Exhibition", and will be exhibited alongside a global line-up of One-Piece-themed art (tons of familiar names too) from November 20th to December 27th, 2020, at in ALE BOX @ ASO Building, Japan.
"I was very excited when i knew that i could participate in this project. It happened naturally, the classic scene Shanks and Luffy in One Piece appear in my mind.
I immediately imagined that it will be very interesting if this character is played by Lowfool. So Fools Team soon create a first sketch. It comes out surprisingly more perfect than we imagine. Bandai Japan also loved our design when we first proposed (it), so the whole process was smooth and we feel very excited.
Lowfool is one of the character in Fools Paradise. Similar like all other characters, they are all patients in a psychiatric hospital Fools Paradise. He is introverted, strong, but he feels inferior and weak in his mind, so he often imagines that he is a superhero. A strong man who can influence the world." (Alan Ng @foolsparadisetoys)
