CANSTOP: Lion City Edition @ B SIDE RECORDS (April 30-May 9)
The CANSTOP Exhibition was an initiative by Garduhouse (Indonesia) in 2014. The first edition showcased over a hundred works from all over the world. Based solely on the customisation of the spray can as a homage to graffiti art’s most (in)famous medium of self expression.
RSCLS regularly supports and partnered Garduhouse’s various initiatives over the years. CANSTOP: Lion City Edition in Singapore is a testament of the social cohesiveness and camaraderie amongst the Singapore and Indonesian graffiti scene even in the times of a global pandemic.
This pop- up exhibition will showcase new works of art by Singaporean urban artists, using resin sculpture canvases created by their Indonesian counterparts as part of the effort to grow CANSTOP’s audience base to a different audience altogether.
The CANSTOP 2019 Exhibition was presented as part of StreetDealin2019. It is an initiative by MUSEUM OF TOYS JAKARTA and curated by Garduhouse. RSCLS is curating the 2021 SG edition featuring Singapore based artists.
