Held at Megatrade Mall, šŸ“/š… šØšŸ š­š”šž š’šŒ šŒšžš ššš¦ššš„š„ šš®š¢š„šš¢š§š  š., Manila, The Philippines, TOYCON PH is billed as "The Biggest Pop Culture Event in Manila", encompassing both mass media pop culture properties and licenses, and as well independent creator-owned content and art/designer toys (for which this blog has been focusing on, cheers). Beyond folks heading out to the event in-person, all these also serve as a "headsup" to what is available out there within the overall encompassing international scene and culture of "collectible toys" ... and also what you need "toy-mules" for, cheers :)





From the event description, I find it exceedingly interesting that creators are involved beyond being just "vendors: - an example being "TOYCON Creatorā€™s Alley" being co-organized by the Bulletpunk Network, "where the top Filipino toy creators meet the up and coming young upstart creators."





The in-person event returns after a 2 year absence (due to the pandemic), with a specific theme:

"...And this year, our 19th year of putting on an onsite convention, Voltes V takes center stage again as part of a promise made by our event partner, Quiccs, back in 2019 to launch his trademark TEQ-63 in unmistakable Voltes V style only at TOYCON! And this year, in partnership with TOEI Co. Ltd. Telesuccess, weā€™re all set to finally launch it! At the heart of the Voltes V story is a tale of a family divided, of struggles suffered and surpassed, but ultimately a reunion of love. Which is really what TOYCON is about too, isnā€™t it? It is a yearly reunion, and for this year, a homecoming, as we return to the place where it all started."
