CULTURE CARTEL 2022 @ *SCAPE (Dec 1-4)
The Culture Cartel is back as a physical event for its fourth edition after a one-year hiatus. As "Asia’s all‑encompassing street culture convention in Singapore", this much-anticipated event will take place this December 1st till 4th, 2022 at *SCAPE Singapore.
COMMENTARY: Previous incarnations have been held at the F1 Pit Building (2018 / 2019 / 2020 was an online event), and the last I was in *SCAPE was for 2019's BigBigCon (CLICK for all TOY-related features on TOYSREVIL), which makes for a far convenient availability than the pit building, so vI'm certainly pretty jazzed! Although I am, intrigued on how the event will be presented - ala "BigBigCon" multiple pop-ups? Or something more cohesive like the Pit Building has (like individual "show-spaces" to breathe in, thanks to the space lol)?
PRESS: "Supported by the Singapore Tourism Board (STB), Culture Cartel aims to position Singapore as a street culture hub in Asia. Its return this year boasts close to 200 brands, creative talents, designers and personalities from across six pillars of art, fashion, music, tattoos, toys and NFT (a new pillar of content this year), who will showcasing their latest and best work, merchandise, services and performances. For the first time, Culture Cartel will be held at heart of Orchard Road at *SCAPE Singapore and set to be the biggest street culture event of the year here. The organisers are expecting 20,000 visitors to the convention over four days."
