"Because I Wanted You To Know" by COARSE @ Corey Helford Gallery (Opens Oct7)
"Because I Wanted You To Know" is the name of coarse's upcoming solo exhibition, opening at Corey Helford Gallery in Los Angeles on October 7.
Nearly two years in the making, the show will feature 20 new original sculptures, handmade in their Los Angeles studio, some of whom are previewed here today.
"Visitors of the exhibition are uninvited guests at a dinner party in its wilder hours. When we arrive at the gallery the evening has already reached its final course, a bombastically colorful climax of vanilla sauces dripping down walls and translucent jellos. As intruders who don’t belong we are eavesdropping on secrets, quietly witnessing moments when people think they are alone, allowing us to reflect on our own intimate memories, which belong to us and no one else."

Coarse shows are "splendid spectacles" as far as I am concerned. And while Ive only had the pleasure of seeing them online (via Thailand Toy Expo etc), I've had the opportunity to walk-thru their display booth at Culture Cartel 2019, and it was amazing.
Looking at images teased here, this show will keep your jaws on the ground, as you drag them thru the gallery ~ LOL
