And while I am not exactly a huge fan of "blind boxed" toys, I've continued to indulge in what I can afford, and have had my fair share of Dunnys thru the years (last one being only from last year of the 2018 DesignerCon period, purely for old times' sake LOL). I do not deny the joy of the designer-created Dunnys, and have learnt the existence of some of them directly thru their designed Dunnys too!
Kidrobot's Designer Dunnys was an essential part of my "growing up" with toys (in my current adult collector state), and is quite literally a snapshot in the past, where yes, I had even wished for TOYSREVIL to have a dedicated Dunny design... Here is a quick look at EARLY "conceptual" drawings of "customs" which I had planned to execute then, now just doodles to snigger at LOL
Turned out the following was the ONLY Dunny custom I had executed, and even then was sold was part of a charitable auction via Dunny.nl ... I've always wanted to create even more characters in the "squad", but never did attempt to do so... even now, while I do have the base Dunnys to use, would anybody else even care to snatch one for themselves, if I do? LOL
