LABUBU "Fanart" from Fellow Artists

With the news of the LABUBU commanding a 6-figure auction price, and the constant news of collecting insanity continuing globally for Kasing Lung's LABUBU character made by Pop Mart, today I'd like to share two instances where fellow creators adapt the character, both as a crossover-homage to other pop culture characters, and as a "social commentary" parody ...!

From Singapore-based Multidisciplinary Visual Artist (and member of @zincnitecrew, Muhammad Firdaus crosses over Labubu with Mecha-designs from GUNDAM in his digital illustrations (would be pretty awesome if someone could customised them into actual toys), which are showcased/embedded below...! More of his art to be had instagram.com/freakyfir

Why bother with "LAFUFU"-bootlegs when folks go full-on parody, in the case of artist Alex Pardee depicts the Labubu character pissing on Freddy Funko-POP!s in a "parody" illustration = "The truth hurts."

"LAPEEPEE" has since been made tee and enamel pins preorderable online here (Ships first week of august), to also be available at his San Diego Comic Con Booth #5502 (Prices different from show and online tho)! Stay connected via instagram.com/alexpardee for more of his art, cheers.

UPDATED:

I wonder what the original creator Kasing Lung thinks of all of these? As much attention is given to his characters made by Pop Mart, the artist too is a published illustrator in his own right, whose art you can see via his socials: instagram.com/kasinglung + x.com/kasinglung, cheers.
