WINGS OF ART Showcase & Charity Auction @ Pop Toy Show Singapore 2025
"WINGS OF ART" is a group art showcase featuring a fabulous line-up of one-of-a-kind 𝗦𝗚𝟲𝟬 𝗪𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗱-𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗯𝗶𝗲 artwork from 60 invited artists working on 60 Barbies, providing them each a pair of "wings", as well clad in fashionable but sustainable materials.
Even the display arena shared that spirit and DIY-aesthetic, and that alone deserves much kudos, IMHO, of course not including the gorgeous doll-art that lined the "Catwalk-Shelves"!
Splendidly showcased at the recent Pop Toy Show Singapore at MBS, I've only managed to snap a scant few images of, alas. Scroll thru for tons more image and video coverage from organisers and ambassadors!
The dolls have been auctioned to raise the initial $100,000 for Young Hearts and are now in the process of being sent to their new owners. Folks interested to see ALL the customs are to head online to peace-of-art.sg, but do note that most auctions are since ended. There are however some pieces still available for straight-ups sales (Until August 31st, 2025)!
All proceeds raised goes towards the aid of underprivileged children 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐤 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐲 𝐜𝐲𝐜𝐥𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐝 𝐂𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐠 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐬 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐦𝐞.
Besides hosting the event at Pop Toy Show Singapore, POP MART has had as well made a $50,000 donation to @sgredcross "Young Hearts" Programme via Wings of Art.
This event was conceptualised and co-created by Eunice Yeo @peace.of.art.sg, Koh Dawn @kohdawn and Jian Yang @jianyang1979.
In addition to the custom showcase, a on-site workshop was also conducted (a total of 1,000 Barbies were generously sponsored by @toyspedia_sg for Mattel). Excess workshop dolls will be sold in the Red Cross charity store (Find out where via @sgredcrossshop) to continue to raise money. How awesome is that?
