JUJUTSU KAISEN Season 3



The official teaser for Season 3 of JUJUTSU KAISEN has just been released, in anticipation of it's "January 2026" premiere!



"JUJUTSU KAISEN" Season 3 will be split into 2 parts.
Also announced is "JUJUTSU KAISEN: Execution -Shibuya Incident x The Culling Game Begins-" theatrical event, which'll include the battle in "Shibuya Incident", PLUS Episodes 1 & 2 of "The Culling Game Part 1", ahead of their TV and streaming release in January 2026!



IN THE BEGINNING: Yuji Itadori is a boy with tremendous physical strength, though he lives a completely ordinary high school life. One day, to save a classmate who has been attacked by curses, he eats the finger of Ryomen Sukuna, taking the curse into his own soul. From then on, he shares one body with Ryomen Sukuna. Guided by the most powerful of sorcerers, Satoru Gojo, Itadori is admitted to Tokyo Jujutsu High School, an organization that fights the curses... and thus begins the heroic tale of a boy who became a curse to exorcise a curse, a life from which he could never turn back.



STORY SO FAR: In "The Culling Game," Yuta Okkotsu, the special grade jujutsu sorcerer and protagonist of "Jujutsu Kaisen 0," enters the fray as an executioner, turning his blade toward Itadori. "The Cursed Two," bound by a shared mentor, ignite one of the most iconic and ferocious battles from the original manga, soon to be brought vividly to life on screen. This marks the first encounter between the two protagonists, leading to an epic clash of cursed energies.

I had zero notion of the series when I started watching the anime, except knowing it was well known and regarded, but eventually devoured the first 2 seasons in its entirety in a single binge barely a month ago, so am more psyched for the "January 2026" premiere of S3, rather than had to wait "3 years" for it (:p).

And just last week in my day-trip to Johor Bahru, I'd come across and eventually snagged the first issue of the manga, which I hope would be enough to sate my curiosity, and not start me down another path of "self-poisoning" :p



SOURCE: Jujutsu Kaisen ("呪術廻戦") is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Gege Akutami. It was serialized in Shueisha's shōnen manga magazine Weekly Shōnen Jump from March 2018 to September 2024, with its chapters collected in 30 tankōbon volumes.

The story follows high school student Yuji Itadori as he joins a secret organization of Jujutsu Sorcerers to eliminate a powerful Curse named Ryomen Sukuna, of whom Yuji becomes the host. Jujutsu Kaisen is a sequel to Akutami's Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical School, serialized in Shueisha's Jump Giga from April to July 2017, later collected in a single tankōbon volume, retroactively titled as Jujutsu Kaisen 0, in December 2018.
