heroes
i'd be quite interested to watch this ...
billed as the next LOST; "The drama tells the story of people who thought they were like everyone else... until they woke with incredible abilities. A Japanese salaryman discovers that he can manipulate time and space. A struggling New York artist can paint the future but only whilst he is using heroin. A discontented police officer in Los Angeles can hear the thoughts of others. A high school cheerleader discovers she recovers from any injury and a single mom realizes she has a powerful alter ego. The premise is that these people have a role in saving humankind." [via]

for a moment there i thought it was the teevee-adaptation of Straczynski's Rising Stars-comic, innit? *heh* ... read series-creator Tim Kring's interview here ...
... well, it all sorta reminds me of the good old Misfits of Science-days (before your time, you young person you) - but without the comedy-hahas and heavy on the grim+gritty reality (like comics gone gritty /:@) ~ let's see if this series ever makes it to singapore, eh? ... *there's always cable* :p

it could go both ways I think. The photo does look a lot like "lost"
ReplyDeleteand the preview reminds me of a killer Swedish show called "De Drabbede". Wicked show.
so true dat ... i'll just take it as another "alternative" to cops+robbers/lawyers-dramas LOL ... and yes, i reckon the photo IS an EXACT replica of LOST (IMHO) - why mess wif a "winning idea", eh? LOL
ReplyDeletegotta check out this De Drabbede - thanks for the recommendation dude! :)
Misfits of Science!
ReplyDeleteOMG!
I haven't heard of that since...donkey years ago. :P
And ya lar, I used to watch it when I was a kid. :P
btw. De Drabbede means "the changed" and the concept is that people find their greatest fear/pain/weakness turned into a superpower. The light and the dark "side" then try to recruit them, or rather, they more or less recruit themselves by using their power, if they use it for their own benefit, they go dark, if they use them to help others, they go light.
ReplyDeleteAnd then there's a baby born...
Mind you, this didn't even contain any spoilers.
