The Hunter: Metroid's Samus figure by Andrew Wilson
We've posted a single image of Andrew Wilson's METROID-inspired figure meant for Gallery1988's Video Game Show yesterday, but after a little bit of "hunting", here are MORE images to gawk at! This Metroid-themed Samus sculpture is called “The Hunter”, and is in turn based off his Samus character creation. Andrew's iconic style can be seen in various graphic illustrations - last noticed in the Transmet-book (yes i recognized his styling!) and most recently his 10-Doh! figurine (a release with Squid Kids Ink) and the last time I saw a three-dimensional construct from him, was his "Aishling" figure back in 2009! (Gawds have I been lax in my coverage!).
This figure will be made available at the show, but here's hoping he'll do more pieces for fans' sake (yes I am 'toy-greedy' that way ;p). Check out more coolness via his blog and tumblr.
