Top Ten Blog-features #onTOYSREVIL The Past Week (List Dated Nov 6, 2018)
The Top Ten blog-features list last week was dominated by toynews from ComplexCon (over the weekend of November 3rd to 4th) - which essentially showcases the "power" of hype the event held (at least on the TOYSREVIL-blog :p)! The hustle is evident (not too sure about "real", as I do not know the economical repercussions :p), and the event sure is/was/had-been an attention grabber, especially since it's weekend news too!
Besides that, I am petty darn delighted to see a "illustration"-post rocking the list, and "newcomer" Ugly Dolls Movie muscling into the list (NICE!) - so don't miss out, folks!
#1: KINDRIK by ClogTwo x Kinjaz x Mighty Jaxx was a truly surprise drop circa ComplexCon, via online app too! Apparently release was ONLY thru the online app, and "never agein" to be released!!!
#2: CAPCOM STREET FIGHTER RYU GRIN by Ron English x MINDstyle garnered a decent amount of negative commentary on my personal Facebook, but zero on my blog (plus a positive on my IG :p) ... two more Street Fighter characters have been relvealed to be GRIN'd at ComplexCon too ("Blanka" and "Guile"), which made for so much more convincing appropriation, IMHO.
#3: ToyQube's ASTRO BOY (LA edition) was revealed to come in both the BLACK (ToyQube exclusive) and a full-cored version at ComplexCon, which no doubt will see a general release somewhen soon...
#4: AGGRESSION by Gondek premiered at ComplexCon, and hopefully will find its way to online release post-event, for this "Marvin The Martian"-reinterpretation.
#5: First Look at UGLY DOLLS Animated Film & Voice Cast listed, in anticipation of the trailer release this Thursday! Subsequently after this post, teaser poster was released (since added to this post - OMG I loved "And Sew It Begins" tagline LOL), and as well character posters! The excitement is real, folks!
#6: I am delighted that illustration feature "Lucy Kenny for Drawlloween 2018" made it into the Top Ten!
#7: AAPE by Steven Harrington x A Bathing Ape® made its debut at ComplexCon, and was a random surprise "find" for me one late night too LOL
#8: ToyQube for #ComplexCon2018 truly showcased the hustle the New York, Queens based brand has done for this year's event at Long Beach, California, and it showed... well, at least on my humble lil'blog?
#9: Found on my Facebook feeds was CHOICES (Series 2) STORM Colorway by Jermaine Rogers exclusive to FYE (online pre-order link in blogpost) - featuring a "perfect" representation of a red beady-eyed bunny, in natty white fur, and a blade! "Watership Down" FTW!
#10: FYE Exclusive Cereal Killers FAT TONY and CAP'N CORNSTARCH is the second Ron English-related product in this list, showcasing the "hype-power" his work wields MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAA
