Introducing TOYARTIST.NET: A Online Directory
Introducing TOYARTISTS.NET: A Online Directory of professional toy artists, manufacturers, producers and distributors all in one online venue!
An initiative by Nick Andrews (he runs @toyartuk), the website is currently soliciting your opinions & input, which you can contribute here (FYI: This form will be removed on 31st August 2020), and you will receive a link to an artists’ submission form in the near future.
"So a few artists approached me and we had a discussion about creating something akin to an online directory of professional toy artists, manufacturers, producers and distributors all in one place and so https://toyartists.net was created," shared Nick Andrews. "I don’t care how many years you have been creating toy art or if you are new to the scene, if you treat your customers with respect there is a place for you here. My job is not to act as a critic, my taste is undoubtedly very much my own and it’s not down to me to tell you what to create, like or think – there are others who do that job WAY better than I ever could or would want to."
WE ARE NOT HERE TO SETTLE DISPUTES.
Life is too short for us to get involved in any disputes you may have with clients.
EVERYONE IS WELCOME.
Treat your clients with respect and don’t pull stunts, deadlines are important.
IF WE CAN HELP ANYONE WE WILL.
Ask around the community, we are here to help.
ASIDE: 8 years ago I created a couple of Facebook-based community-pages meant for self-promotion / practising artists in the Toy Arts - specifically meant to cater to for Singapore and Asia-based practisioners - and started Art Toy Nation and Art Toy Nation Asia ... but alas was met with absolutely zero response since .... But that's old news now, and folks have since chosen to promote themselves via multiple FB-Groups too! But I certainly hope more folks'll be able to participate in toyartists.net and put your name out there! Especially one that is not FB-based and accessible by anyone around the world on the internet!
