BEN The Ghost Cat & JACK The Zombie Dog by MAO
Featured today are TWO sofubi releases from Japanese toy-creator MAO, with 2 new versions of "BEN THE GHOST CAT" and a brand new character figure named "JACK THE ZOMBIE DOG"!
MAO’s first SUFUBI toy is called BEN. MAO loves retro game’s design and is inspired by them, so her characters AND designed like low polygon seen in old(er) video games. Find out more about BEN's genesis here and the toy-journey of this 3.25" tall sofubi figure...
"JACK THE ZOMBIE DOG" is the second sofubi release from Mao, featuring polygon-aesthetics (like old video games), and features a removable head, to see a skeletal head underneath!
JACK THE ZOMBIE DOG was a normal dog owned by the main character and sub character in the game world (just like BEN THE GHOST CAT). He became a zombie in the middle of his works at the cemetery without realizing it, and soon he begins to appear in the game as an enemy.
Both "Ben" and "Jack" will be released at Design Festa in Japan (Nov 13-14), DesignerCon (Nov 12-14) via the 3D Retro booth. As well they'll be available at the "Playtoysforever & Friends" pop-up event held in Taiwan by @playtoysforever.co.ltd (Nov 13) alongside these character figure releases...!
