"The Ghost in the Shell" - New Anime Announcement Trailer & Key Art
Announced today (theghostintheshell.jp) is a new anime for "The Ghost in the Shell", with animation by Science SARU, with a premiere date of "2026". A promo video (below) and a key art (above) to be had, cheers.
My memories of the 1995 anime film lingers vividly still, as much as it had impacted my life then til now, followed by the 2004 sequel, "Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence"; the 2002 television series, "Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex", 2013's Ghost n The Shell: Arise films (which were repackaged into Arise - Alternative Architecture for TV), not to mention 2020's lacklustrely-bloated Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045 (Looked promising tho).
Truth be told, I did not include the Hollywood live-action adaptation of the franchise, as it would be more beneficial for my own sanity if I kept the Scarlett Johansson feature separate from the source, cheers. And all this has somehow dulled my enthusiasm for the property... but I certainly hope to be "delighted" regardless, innit?
