And while I had previously featured the release of KYUUBI DUNNY from Candie Bolton x Kidrobot, Mighty Jaxx has since announced and released their EXCLUSIVE colorway - currently orderable online here for US$75.00 - Limited to 200pcs and listed as 'item in stock and ready to ship'!


Am always appreciative when the sculpted-final version deviates (even if ever so slightly) from the original Dunny-form, and the details seen in this product pictures look subtly effective for the iconology of the fox spirit Candie has been interpreting through the years (*Check out her artwork for Kitsura HERE). The extra tuff of fur, and claws were a nice touch, and of course the fully-sculpted wolf-head with elaborate "Dunny-ears"!

I'd also loved the girl painted admits the back of the figure - and no doubt one of the highlights as well - when I realised why she looked so familiar, as I'd seen her in toy-form, as a part of Toy Art Gallery's "Oh My Yokai! Night Parade" line-up!

Embiggened from its first incarnation as a 3" Dunny from the City Cryptids series, the 8-inch tall behemoth did not react to me until I saw it in-hand, in this video from Woot Bear (Available here for US$75)!

I hope everyone loves my new 8” Kyuubi Dunny releasing next Friday March 8th 🦊 ✨✨! Black edition will be exclusive to Kidrobot 🖤🖤🖤 Photos by @vinylpulse✨✨ Thought I should also include Kyuubi’s backstory in case anyone missed it back when the City Cryptids series was released: She began as an ordinary fox living out her life in a lush mountain forest and hunting prey in grassy meadows. Season after season she watched other foxes grow old and weak, but curiously, she alone grew stronger. Over time she outlived all other creatures in the forest, even her own kin. She was completely alone. She had no one else to experience her journey with except for a few ancient trees that she had watched grow from saplings. Then one day, strange upright animals arrived. They farmed her land and hunted in her forest, rendering her home scarred and unrecognizable. At first she watched them with curiosity, but when they came to cut down her only friends, the ancient trees, she knew that something must be done. By now, she was more spirit than animal and her physical form was quite malleable. She would need to use her powers of transformation to infiltrate and destroy her adversaries from within. Not knowing if she would find peace or obliteration at the hands of her enemies... she stepped out of her forest on human legs to face them head on.
