With the success of their Andy Warhol Dunnys (2 series thus far: Series 1 & Series 2) and afflicted product lines, Kidrobot next sets their sights on the work of "Jean-Michel Basquiat". Releases in May 2018. Available for pre-order now at myplasticheart.com.
KIDROBOT PRESS: "“Believe it or not, I can actually draw.” Kidrobot, in conjunction with The Estate, is proud to bring a piece of contemporary art into your home with the Jean-Michel Basquiat Dunny Series. Each Dunny in this series depicts one of Basquiat’s most iconic paintings throughout his prolific career. Collect all 18 today and an homage to contemporary art to your home."
There has been quite an amount of product unleashed thus far from Medicom Toys as well (VCDs and BE@RBRICKS) - featuring (in the past) Andy Warhol, and currently Basquiat and Keith Harring (obviously licensing has opened up) - so will we be seeing a mirroring from Kidrobot in the near future as well? At least for a Harring Dunny series?
Cheers and have a great toy-day ahead, folks!
