Review MUMBLES and BOMSAI vinyl collectibles by Daniel Yu, with this two Colored Blanks purchased at the recent Pop Toy Show Singapore 2023! You folks know I am huge fan of Daniel's work, so this as well is a treat and thrill for myself...!
First filmed on Insta-Live (now watchable HERE) video embedded below, cheers. For folks interested too snag these, do stay connected to Daniel's IG , for when he updates availability AFTER his Taipei Toy Festival tenure...!
Daniel has since watched the above video, and here are some answers to my shearing questions asked...!
TOYSREVIL: About Boothing with Fanny Kao at Taipei Toy Festival...
DANIEL YU: Yes I’ll be sharing a booth with @fufufanny.kao at TTF in a couple of weeks time! I’ll mostly have blank colours that you saw at PTS, but there’ll be a couple of new colours and a few new painted pieces as well. I hope you’ll be able to visit TTF one day and check that off your bucket list! You’ll be in heaven!
TOYSREVIL: Meanwhile living vicariously thru online images of TTF, my friend!
TOYSREVIL: About BOMSAI...
DANIEL YU: Bomsai was made as a 2 part figure mostly coz I wanted a more affordable vinyl figure (more parts = more costs), but I agree it does look more aesthetically pleasing without cut joints on the bare torso too.
TOYSREVIL: About the meaning of "禅" sculpted on Bomsai's forehead... (asked by Richard @darkbulb).
DANIEL YU: The chinese character on his forehead is chán, which means zen. I thought it’d be an odd juxtaposition to have it on him considering his maniacal expression!
Ps. The white Lunar Creep XL you talked about will be making an appearance at TTF :p
