March 21/2020 Edition of Top Ten Blogposts for the Past Week On TOYSREVIL

And while the physical world we live in has since changed - and continues to change - due to COVID-19, the online landscape from where I am at has since altered+evolved as well, with a massive increase in readership, and with irrelevant blog-submissions climbed immeasurably, while related blog submissions has dwindled drastically. Understandable now might not be the time folks are promoting themselves and their art, rather than the more important efforts of keeping themselves and their families safe, no doubt!

The readership is hungry for content, and I find the current e-situation reminiscent of when I started to blog over a decade ago (make that "15 Years" :p), whereby I am now hunting for content (in addition to submissions), which quite frankly allows me to continue making editorial decisions - for which quite admittedly has been one of the joys that has helped me continue in this endeavour, 15 years in. And before anyone speculates "its because of the money" = there isn't any, and has not been for the past year now, as "complications" have left me choosing not to have adsense on this blog, which is quite a pity, given the insane hits the blog has been getting lately FFS.

But I am trying my best to solve this now, with whatever frustrating limited knowledge of the technology needed to navigate this cyber-world ... meanwhile, PayPal donations appreciated at "toysrevil@yahoo.com" = THANK YOU!

Nevertheless, this is not a "declaration", but a "statistical response", and with that, this is the March 21st edition of Top Ten Blogposts for the Past Week on TOYSREVIL (for the week of March 16-22/2020), for your reading and (re)clicking pleasures!

THANK YOU for reading TOYSREVIL thus far!

Have a fab new week ahead, and KEEP CLEAN, KEEP SAFE!

Cheers
Andy TOYSREVIL

#10: The Unpainted GID KAAARG by Jeff Lamm has since been unleashed online here!

Would be well cool if there were some dark-rub on the figure to highlight the sculpt - but that would be what I'll do if I had a copy, anyways LOL

#9: ODDMIRA by IKY x Derri of Meijin Toys since launched and available online here. I personally would - without a smidgeon of doubt - snag this if I could afford such luxuries in life!

#8: A "sketch challenge" created as a tongue-in-cheek reference the mind-boggling toilet-paper hoarding phenomenon worldwide, since my #toiletpapersketchchallenge-post, seems no new challengers on either Facebook or Instagram? Really? That piece of twin-ply is that precious? ... Maybe I shouldn't comment until our household's TP-supply runs out and I can't find any in the supermarkets... There's always the bum-gun to consider tho.

#7: Did you manage to snag a White ITSA Dunny from Kyle Kirwan before it SOLD OUT of its 10pcs run? Stay connected to the artist's Insta @kylekirwan for updates of future releases!

#6: Previews for "Misappropriated Icon 3" since opened and on show in Redefine Gallery, with online availablity via strangecattoys.com where there are a few select on-display images to check out too (Some of who are reposted above).

#5: iBOY Kickstarter from Classicbot since launched online here, and achieved 160% funding in the first 16hours, and as of this post, "233% Funded"! Sort yourselves out before April 16 when the KS ends!

#4: Final Trailer & New Poster for Marvel Studios' "Black Widow" live-action feature film, since announced to have delayed its previous "May 1st" premiere date (in U.S. theaters).

Would YOU prefer if (A) the only way to watch this film is via a postponed theatrical premiere date, or (B) Pay for a VOD / "Video-on-Demand" service, at a elevated price (which I've read somewhere online - no specific reference), something along the lines of "US$20", which is understandable as it includes pricing for multiple viewers, as opposed to a "single viewer ticket", even in these days of "social distancing", IMHO.

Conversely, any feature film showcasing "reel-life superheroes" now - as opposed to real-life frontline heroes (Nurses, doctors, folks who need to serve the regular folk) might get so much flack for "insensitivity", IMHO... Just imagine that MORE people are indoors now and online, and the cyber-culture will too see a massive shift, moreso than it already has for the past decade...

#3: Featured above is the new poster image for Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045, while you can check out the Final Trailer HERE for this anime series scheduled to stream April 23rd, 2020, only on Netflix... And if this series does not become a "massive success" because of the sheer amount of folks staying in at home and watching, then that is a simple barometer of the/a series' entertainment value, IMHO.

#2: M56-HE/G1-F from Machine56 has since been listed to have SOLD OUT of its 40pc-run, and I am not too surprised, even with its price-point.

Check out my continued coverage of these "Wearable Art" to see and imagine having a entire line-up of these beautiful beasts in your home display OMGosh...!

#1: COVID No.19 As A Collectible from Thailand-based toy-maker KAZE Studio claims top-spot with its UBER-topicality (and quite frankly "positive" reception to its theme, compared to the negative reception of similarly-themed releases posted on the TOYSREVIL-facebook) - for which you can still currently order online via commenting on Facebook and/or Instagram!

The image featured above is the "Anti-Virus Covid 19 Preliminary" from the artist himself, in the Thai language.

Like I said before, STAY CLEAN and STAY SAFE, folks!
