about those speed racer movie merchandizing tie-ins

interesting-ish merchandising tie-ups in store for the upcoming Speed Racer movie [tagged] with "backing from brands like General Mills, McDonald's, Target, Mattel, Lego, Topps and Esurance" [via SHH] - the more "relevant" titbits (to this blog) are the following:

- LEGO creating four playsets based around the film.
- Puma designing Speed Racer-themed shoes.
- McDonald's offering separate Happy Meals for boys and girls.
- (peep SuperheroHype for other listings)

of coz i'd be very interested in what Mattel has to offer, no doubt with Ken/Barbie adaptations (hands-up for Trixie), Hot Wheels and Matchbox are natural bets, IMHO (just as long as they don't go by way of blind-carded concepts, as featured on Toybreak Ep#23) ... c'mon, besides the Mach5/6, Shooting Star, i'd like to see ("Autobacs Racing Team Aguri") ARTA's Super GT 300 as a model, ennit?
