dia de los plush @ red hot robot (oct 11)

Red Hot Robot will be hosting their first ever Dia de los Muertos-themed show (as well as their first plush show) with DIA DE LOS PLUSH (a "Day of the Dead" plush art show) on October 11th @ their own RHR-premises (exhibits thru November 7th / with a Special event to be held Saturday, Nov 1st in celebration of the holiday) - to pay homage to this historic ritual and it’s rich imagery (with a modern plush twist).

The show features plushed-creations from over 20 international artists, including: Heidi Kenney / Amy Vutiya / Jon Knox / Jared Deal / Serena Kuhl / Sebastian Curadeau / Shane Geil / I Heart Guts / Spooky Daddy / Geek Freeks / Nick the Ring / Sappy Moose Tree / Lexi Franks / Michal Ward-Wright / Mike + Jodi Maas / Roy Wasson Valle / Koryn Woodward / Dawna Jo Davis / Ronda Kivett / Jim Mariano / Salomon Cano / Sydney Edmunds.

Plushies previewed here include Jared Deal's “Six-Point Sugar Skull” / Heidi Kenney's “Rosa and the Devil” / and Serena Kuhl's “Mamcita” (collaborations with Marita Albers). All pieces will be available for purchase starting at the opening reception, and then online at www.redhotrobot.net the following day.
