MOST-WANTED-VENTURA-02

Shown here are two unavoidably cool custom series from Igor Ventura and Chauskoskis - completed for the Kidrobot forum's "MOST WANTED ARTIST SERIES 2" (the pre-sale of which is unfortunately as of this time, sold out for a 2nd week February-drop). Artists also included in this series were Tim Munz / Simon Walter / FAS / Kevin Gosselin / NikeJerk / Grimsheep / Luihz Unreal / PAUSE / Sergio Mancini / Rsinart / Matucha / with Special guest artist : Jon Paul Kaiser. Yu can find out more images and info on forums.kidrobot.com or http://mostwanted-behindthehype.blogspot.com = proving once again that folks can drum up their own hype and not need news sites like TOYSREVIL.

Chauskoskis's BIRRO The Clown is 15 figures strong (with a lone Corona variant lol), while Igor's butcher-tastic custom also comes with 15 figures (including chopped off sausage-ears! Tres Delicatessen - I love it), with a huge 7"-er shown for measure. Yes, it does look like more than 15 figs - that's because a whole lotta extras were made for additional trade!

TOYZMAO-001

Paris-based Lucas Mongiello has collected a selection of action figures and displayed in glass domes, and is currently looking for a place to share and show this series. Not the most epic of installations, but somewhat cater to the geekery latent in collectors, IMHO. What do you think?

TOYZMAO-002

Lucas adds: "I have always had a nostalgic feeling when I see some old used action figures/ toys when i go to flea markets garage sales in my neighborhood...So I collect lots of those colorful "pop" cheap toys .  I kept them stored in boxes not knowing what to do with them...Until I thought about displaying them as the victorian taxidermists displays exotic birds in glass cages... Like some surrealistic "collages" .

The pretentious" Napoleon III glass domes"  give to the modest toys a new life .
There was something before "Toyz" .  These toys are part of our culture, and thats a way for me not to be forget them. For me this series are- maybe- a starting point around that theme."
