Frank Miller's MARV from SIN CITY by Eric So x Dark Horse (Available Aug 13)
Frank Miller's MARV from SIN CITY is to be made into a 13-inch tall vinyl statue designed by Eric So from Hong Kong (he of my very short list of Urban Vinyl character designer heroes which started me down this art toy path in the first place ~ *man-squeal*) - to be made/produced by Unbox Industries and released by Dark Horse circa August 13th - limited to 950pcs with a SRP of US$150.00 per.
PRODUCT TEXT: "The figure is more of a re-invention than a reproduction. While it is clear that Miller's graphics inform the piece, it is more of a signpost along the way than the end of the journey. The Eric So touches abound from the detailing of the trench coat to the sharp angles and odd proportions of the character's features. As we all know, Marv knows how to take a punch, and has the bandages to prove it. We are providing a pack of band-aid style stickers with each figure, and the consumer can affix them to Marv as they like." (Source: Streets of Beige)
It has been exceptional while since we saw an Eric So-designed designer toy - besides White Knight (also made by Unbox Industries!) - so this is personally a sweet treat for me … now to track this down at my local comicbook shops lol
