FIRESTARTER MV FROM K/DA & TOYS FROM TOKIDOKI & YOUTOOZ

League of Legends' fictional girl group "K/DA" returns with new single "FIRESTARTER" - featuring MIYEON and SOYEON of i-dle, Sophie Powers, and Mimi Webb!

Apparently the MV was released in advance of the planned/schedule, as there had been multiple audio leaks (seen on my socials which I myself reposted as well :p), to this makes more hype-sense, IMHO!

Video created in partnership with Fortiche.
Choreography by Sean Bankhead.
Written by: David Dahlquist, Ashley Fulton, Georgia Ku, Aejin Kwon, Sebastien Najand, James Norton.
Lyrics by: Ashley Fulton, Georgia Ku, Aejin Kwon, James Norton.

I have been GAGGING for the soundscape of K/DA since discovering their first album in 2020 (finding echos of in tripleS' ANDLESS too, come to think of it - all good and fabulous btw), although this somewhat pales against my memories of, to be honest... but who cares about what I THINK anyways, innit? MUAHAHAHAHA - ENJOY!

WHO-ARE: "K/DA" is the name of a virtual music supergroup by in-game characters Ahri, Evelynn, Akali, and Kai’Sa - with vVocals performed by real-world singers an d performers, including (in the past incarnation): Madison Beer, SOYEON and MIYEON of (G)I-DLE Lexie Liu, Jaira Burns. (Further deets here)

And while the above was first featured on my music-hobby blog TUNESTALKSG, the relevance to this particular toy-blog comes in the form of collectibles+toys just announced! Thus far we have Unicornos from tokidoki and plush from youtooz!

I am intrigued to know the process and timeline of this situation.
Remembering the massive success of KPOP DEMON HUNTERS' animation on Netflix, followed by numerous collectibles and merch being released (and still happening right now, even as the animated film premiered 2025), and of "riding the wave" versus "let's get on before the wave hits", to the investment needed to decide on designing and manufacturing the wave ... or just the creators' massive resources being able to create 'the wave"... Regardless, for a greedy consumer as I am, I am grateful for having "choices" ~ muahahahahaha
