medicom protect gear keberos red spectacles 20th anniversary

having mixed emotions of utter-joy (of visual recognition) and sheer confusion (i thought Takara's gonna be releasing four more of 'em?), can really mess with a hobbyist's mind, ya know?

and with that., after "recovering" (if you can call pickingup your jaw from the floor) from seeing the images here, i snooped around ye old cyberway for some semblence of clarity for the abovementioned new Medicom figure ... consider this:
(according to the "official title") the Red Spectacles-version is based on the 1987 feature film, which pre-dates the Jin-Roh anime-version we know now, the Stray Dogs-version that Takara's releasing ~ and they are all from the Kerberos Panzer Cop-manga lore.

hence the more retro-ornate chestplate designs and weapondry. and yes, his eyes still light-up. beyond that, i have insufficient data to post, any help would be appreciated, thank you released in celebration of the 20th anniversary of Jin-Roh :)
