about paul shih's t-wrecks papertoy: original and rainbow monster remix (and a rainbow monster animated video)

Paul Shih has created a downloadable papertoy with TNES' T-Wrecks - which was on display during TNES' recent Say Hello To My Little Friends-show - featuring both the TNES Original and a delightful (but nevertheless a "dangerous paper-dino" :p) Rainbow Monster Remix-version - downloadable HERE [images via] ... meanwhile as you ready your color-printer and scissors (and glue, of coz), peep this animation of the OG Rainbow Monster, as done by Paul!
*cool*
I really like the t-wreck(s) but unfortunately the toy is a bit akward to put together. (Hint: Glue one side of the dinosaur first, then the other.) Also, the clearly marked space to glue the tail and horn is square, while the base of the tail and horn is triangular.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to have to go into Illustrator to remove those 2 squares...
Now, before going into a big discussion on "it's free, so don't complain", I'm only offering this critique because I really like the toy, and I want it to be perfect.
you're offering a critique and tip based on your experience with the item (mondo-appreciated, dude!) and not just "complaining" = so that's all good and cool, as far as i am concerned, yeh?
ReplyDeleteif ya sort it out and it works, do let us know, yeh? cheers and thanks! :)
Actually it turns out I just can't follow instructions.
ReplyDeleteThe horn and tail are supposed to be flat. D'oh!
I put together a second one and it looks nice.
It does ten to fall over quite a bit. :-)
