plusform: the diy plush platform toy by shawnimals x squibbles ink

Plushform no. 1 is based on the popular "Wee Ninja" character from Shawnimals = straight out of the box and it's already sewn and stuffed, and even has a primed surface suitable for any 2D or 3D medium (*cool*) - you even have the option of sewing on extra limbs, deconstruct and/or reconstruct parts, glue on shapes and other objects = wherever you want. (needles and thread not included :p)

PLUSHFORM: DIY PLUSH PLATFORM TOY:
Joe Somers owner of Squibbles says, āOur primary goal since the beginning was to develop a DIY designer toy that everyone would enjoy working with. Folks who may have been curious to work on vinyl figures now have a friendly form they can take out of the box, and get straight to being creative.ā
- First-ever do-it-yourself designer plush toy based on the popular Wee Ninja character shape perfect for novice and advanced toy customizers alike.
- Plushform is ready to go right out of the box. The stuffed and sewn DIY plush has a water-based primed surface making it extremely smooth and suitable for practically any medium. Acrylic, oil and spray paint, pencils, pens, markers, watercolor ā whatever you want.
- The Plushform shape is stuffed just right, making it soft enough to feel like a plush toy, but firm enough to make drawing and painting comfortable. It's the balance of Plushform's materials and shape that offers everyone the best of both worlds.
- The unique canvas-like skin is an ideal surface on which 2D artists can illustrate, while its 3-D shape and manipulability via sewing, appliqueĢ and numerous other additive methods encourages alteration and sculptural creation.

- Sew on extra limbs as needed. Deconstruct and reconstruct parts. Glue on shapes and other objects wherever you want.
- You can even buy multiple Plushforms and sew them together to make something entirely new. The possibilities are truly limitless with Plushform.
- Unlike mainstream blank plush toys that are specific in shape and purpose, Plushform allows the artist to do what they do best, acting more as a blank medium than a specific character or thing.
- While the general shape of Plushform no. 1 is based on the Wee Ninja, the body form has no mask or eyes, no top, bottom or sides built in.
- Plushform is completely open to interpretation so each person will get to choose which end is up.
- Plushform requires no messy prep or priming, though most any could still be applied. Up-and-coming toy customizers can relax knowing they can skip the tedious priming and prepping that is often associated with vinyl and plastic platform toys.
- Seasoned designer toy customizers can still utilize advanced levels of customization to continue creating amazing works of art.
