it's all part of the plan: joker viral leads to new dark knight poster

UPDATED 26.04: and so the "itspartoftheplan"-page has been updated, with each portrait clickable to open a page which displays a name of a (different) city, with instructions, for the start of a NEW scavenger-hunt / viral game beginning April 28th - /// CLICKETH TO READ MORE

peep the new DARK KNIGHT Poster found on WhySoSerious.com [via] featuring a wall of framed portraits of deceased-gentlemen with their faces Jokerized - with a note at the bottom stating "Four days" 4 Days To WHAT? the new Trailer? or a new viral-game?

the trail started with folks possessing the Joker-phone (from the Bowling Ball Hunt) receiving a text-message (from "humanresources @whysoserious.com"): "Guys, I wouldn't worry about Gordon. IT'S ALL PART OF THE PLAN." (remember Gordon's "Operation Slipknot"?) ... which folks tagged in to where (presumably) the Joker hangs-out online - ie: www.whysoserious.com/itsallpartoftheplan - then click on the red-lever (left-top of webpage) and a new browser-window appears with the poster image! there is a link at the bottom of poster which clicks to an uber-huge version.

and the portraits on the wall? they all aparantly appear on United States dollar bills of different denominations. [info]

MESSAGE ON ITSALLPARTOFTHEPLAN WEB-PAGE:

"Gather with 300 of your closest friends at this exact spot on April 28th.

You'll need to be in contact with a partner-in-crime who has online access to relay your instructions once you're there. These instructions will give you the TRAIL to follow, but be sure to look both ways when crossing the street; we wouldn't want you to make an unscheduled visit to the ER now, would we?

Put on a smile and plan to spend about an hour or so bonding with your fellow clowns.

Check back here often for updates or changes."

/// the emphasis on the letters TRAIL and ER leaves not much to the imagination as to what folks are going to be expecting, and folks have been expecting a new trailer anyways LOL - but hey, that's pretty cool for me. know what you're working towards, so it possibly fuels your efforts, IMHO.

/// "plan to spend about an hour or so bonding with your fellow clowns" - duration of game? or sneak preview of movie? hhhmmm

/// the countdown-clock on page expires Monday, April 28th, when the game begins.

THE JOKER PACKAGE:

and Movieweb.com has received a package via Fed-Ex (which probably was a one of the start-points for the whole scavenger hunt), which contains (1) "a torn piece of brown paper with a mysterious invite on it", (2) a Joker card and (3) a Clown mask. the message on the torn paper (partially) reads:

"xxx...xxx...xxx you will need this playing card to get in and you will also have to go to www.whysoserious.com/itspartofthplan to find out where you need to be ... xxx ... xxx ... xxx"
/// apologies for i could not make out the text before and afters, nor did the photographer take a clearer or bigger image - frustrating, i know. but hey, at least there's a picture? heh.
