DC DELUXE 1/6 DR. MANHATTAN

The second DC Deluxe 13-incher articulated action figure after the previously revealed RORSCHACH (circa NYCC) is to be DR MANHATTAN!


Based on the upcoming March 6, 2009, Warner Bros. movie WATCHMEN, this 1:6 scale deluxe collector figure measures approximately 13" tall and comes with a removable black suit (which frankly, looks ill-fitted, IMHO). Packaged in a deluxe 4-color window box with a fifth panel, it also includes a 4-color Certificate of Authenticity. The WATCHMEN MOVIE: DR. MANHATTAN 1:6 Scale Deluxe Collector Figure has a SRP of US$69.99, with a January 21st, 2009-sale date.

As indicated on the ad, the "actual" Dr. Manhattan figure will be unveiled @ the San Diego Comic-Con from July 26th, 2008.

WATCHMEN ACTION FIGURES FROM DC DIRECT


After the recent reveal of the Watchmen Action Figures during NYCC, DC Direct has listed the first of two assortments (totaling eight figures) - with a January 28th, 2009 sale-date. The 1st assortment includes: (1) NITE OWL @ 6.75"-tall, (2) OZYMANDIAS @ 6.75"-tall, (3) RORSCHACH @ 6.25"-tall and (4) SILK SPECTRE (Modern) @ 6.5"-tall ... all figures feature multiple points of articulation and a base, and comes packaged in a 4-color window box (not blister-carded? hhmmm)


I like that they specifically mentioned "Modern" is it's description - will we get to see retro super-heros in the 2nd assortment? I'm placing my bets on (A) Dr Manhattan, (B) Comedian (C) Early Silk Spectre, and (D) Early Nite Owl [peep costumes]

With a SRP of US$69.99-per, the busts have a sale-date of January 21st, 2009.
