2008 olympic pins for coca-cola by tim tsui and alice chan

I'm not what one would term a "sporty type" - as much as I've partaketh in my fair share of soccer, badminton and squash thru those heady bygone years (aka "youth") I have come to an acceptance of my lot in the lack of affinity with athletic-life (with a decent-sized belly to cement thy assertion) including and exclusive to media coverage of any sports events, for quite a few long years already ... until the Beijing Olympics started - which frankly, I'd initially tried to avoid, but have been unsuccessful til now (including watching the entire China vs Argentina Woman's Soccer match *gasp*)

But no, this post is not just about my failed sports-life - but of a connection between Olympic Sports and the realm of "designer toys" with the existence of Tim Tsui's and Alice Chan's OLYMPIC PINS (done for for Coca Cola) available now at the Olympics Village at Beijing now (*gasp*). CLICK THRU for more :)

Both Tim and Alice were the only 2 Chinese artists invited to create a set of pins in 12 styles for the traditional changing pin scheme. Alice's series is her interpretation of the Chinese Zodiac, while Tim's teasing us with images of 4 out of the 12 styles (so you'd haveta hunt them down, yo!). Neither quantity nor price have not been revealed - but needless to say they are limited (2008-pcs of each design made) and no doubt expect to find them on online auctions if you're not physically down at the Olympic Village during this period, IMHO :p

ADDED: Product Images (for your perusal and consideration)
