BEGIN AFA08 (4:48PM)
- 2hrs in & have juz finishd snappng pix n quasi-smoozng. Surprisingly loadsa toys! Whoohoo!
- Bandai out in force w gundams at
- ToysnToys had the most impressive display arena w prime japanese brands representatn.
- TnT/medicom had 2 shelves dedicatd to mickeymouse disney & doreamon. Includng a 2ft mickey! Pix l8tr.
- TnT/medicom: on display were doremon vcds includng 2 x 2ft-ish doremon n fren. Pix l8tr.
- TnT/realactnheroes: darkknight batman & joker on display! Joker looks great! Bats loose out to hot toys' im afraid, imho :p
- TnT/rah: hopng the display tag for rah bruce wayne & harvey dent wil manifest into actual fig displays 2mrw tho!
- TnT/rah: mgs oldsnake & raiden on display. Too bad my initial desire for them has waned :p
- TnT/rah: goku & piccolo 1/6 seen. Pix l8tr.
- Kamen riders galore @ medicom n bandai's soul of chogukin booth.
- Bandai: unpaintd proto s.i.c vol.44 zeronos & deneb imagin on display! Dec 08 release.
- Bandai: unpaintd proto kiwami-damashii maskd rider hibiki in new articulatd scale. Jan 09 release.
- Medicom: street fightr chun-li in regular blue color tunic, & a white tunic n brown pants variant on display.
- Tis e year of domokun! B on lookout fr domo toys n plush. Also ltd ed design tshirts x 8 styles done for afa08.
- Buyng toys: falconshangar arena n rapid culture sees racks of carded blistrd boxd goodies.
- Animax had individual plasmas for multiple displays for cartoons. Wil hvta find time to watch casserhn!
- Full display booth for lamb. Storyboards on show.
- Wraparound display booth for genius party. Developmnt designs n storybrds display. Plasma screen was not runng. Darn.
- Quite a numbr of comic/manga presence. But most not set up yet ggrrr. Imaginative frens to showcase e pepper project w charactr creatd by artgerm.
- Hopefuly wil see e freedom formula models i missd at stcc08. But somehow doubt it :(
- Pansonworks kamen ridr gasaphon spottd! Hvnt had a chance to blog abt thm yet - wil try my luck n score a couple 2mrw keke
- Magmaheritage had a biggr booth than stcc - but they wer stil displayng n didnt allow snaps. Oh well.
- Barrng my unhappiness w photo restrictns w medicom's at stcc - afa08 was a total change. I feel so welcomd 2day - thks guys! :)
- Natsuko frm koto: if you're readng this - i mght hv missd u 2day / or u were busy unpackng! C u 2mrw :)
- Media admittance was smooth (i was on e list yay) but strict. Upon leavng 2day, i had to surrendr my pass n collect again 2mrw. Cool beans.
- Afa08 opens 10am (or izit 9?) at suntec city conventn centre halls 403-404. $5 admissn fee. Expect a queue. Sat n sunday.
- Was told the festival may travel to another asian country next year. So try not to miss this, imho.
- Had wantd to remake tt tis "stcc-dejavu" - but mght not be fair until everthng is up n runng. Seems like 40-50% up 2day. Shall determine by e wkend :p
