The Coming of Ducksauce by Dynomight NYC & Casting Cthulhu Juice Crew with The Sucklord
From the makers of the Y-front-wearing back-alley vinyl bruiser BUMRUSH comes a spanking new limited edition action figure dubbed; DUCKSAUCE. Designed by Dynomight NYC - Ducksauce is a member of an inter-stellar B-Boy group known as the Cthulhu Juice Crew. Chillin' in 3 3/4-scale and limited to on 35 pcs of an initial Green colorway, Ducksauce is set for a Feb/March release, with a SRP of US$35-per. Stay tuned for drop-date, yo!
TRE has the honor to showcase exclusively the behind-the-scenes making-of the first casting-session of Ducksauce (gawds I heart me them behind-the-scenes) - at the magical toyworkshop of The Sucklord, no less! Inclusive is a quickie-Q&A with John Battistini (the other-half of Dynomight NYC, with Justin Rudy aka J-R00) about all-things Ducksauce and what the future holds for the dynamic duo (John & Justin, I mean!). CLICK FORTH for a taste-of-Ducksauce!
TOYSREVIL: So what the heck's going on here? Who's the lab-tech, and what's that green cocktail you guys are mucking about with?
DYNOMIGHT-NYC: We met up with The Sucklord at his studio in NYC where he had the molds all ready to go. After he mixed up the color (we made them in the skin color, J-R00 will be painting up the clothes a different color) we ran a few prototypes. The pictures basically sequence the process from initial color mixing to removal from the molds.

TOYSREVIL: That's sum sweet mixin' right there! Now, down to the nitty-gritty: WHO IS DUCKSAUCE?
DYNOMIGHT-NYC: Ducksauce is part is an interstellar B-Boy, part of the "Cthulhu Juice Crew." Coming straight out of Ryleth to lay down some cosmic beats, he is one of the four members of the CJC.
TOYSREVIL: Oh man, I remember my days as a wannabe-B-boy (I did "The Robot" - that wuz my one-and-only killer-move. Ultimately I had a fulfilling secondary school-life, I did ... *sob*). Who else is in CJC?
DYNOMIGHT-NYC: Ducksauce is just the first one. Look for C-Boogie, Left Foot and Wiggles to drop later in the year.
TOYSREVIL: How big, how many and how much? (That only sounds "wrong" if you're standing on the wrong end of a street-corner - heh). And how the heck can folks get their grimy-paws on sum Ducksauce-lurvin'?
DYNOMIGHT-NYC: He's 3 3/4 scale, kinda like a Star Wars figure. He'll retail for US$35 and there will be 35 of him made in this colorway. Each one will be green and feature hand-painted accents by J-R00. Ducksauce will be available directly from us.

TOYSREVIL: What the heck is DynomightNYC up to these days?
DYNOMIGHT-NYC: Dynomight is hot on the streets for '09. We've been busy working on CJC and just recently finished up a batch of Star Wars Galaxy Sketch Cards, and by "we" I mean J-R00. I pimp that boy out like a $2 hooker at a catholic grade school!
TOYSREVIL: And TRE's your own street-corner (down the stretch, past the neon-lit alley) to do it at, yo! LOL ~ Let's flashback for a moment here ~ How was 2008 for DynomightNYC?
DYNOMIGHT-NYC: 2008 was dope! We dropped all three colorways of Bumrush and had the Custom Show. As a matter of fact almost everyone who said they would, did a fig. Only like two deadbeats never finished, but I'm not pointing fingers. *points finger at Andy*
TOYSREVIL: (sits in corner of the room silently, head faced down ;p). Besides the anguish of tolerating deadbeats, what was your most memorable moment of 2008?
DYNOMIGHT-NYC: Our most memorable moment had to be holding the first prototype of Bumrush in out hands. Its incredible to have this idea go from sketches all to the way to a fig. It's crazy!

TOYSREVIL: Yup, sure ya likes ta hold it in yer hands .. j/k! Flashforward-to-the-future-time! What can folks look forward to DynomightNYC in 2009?
DYNOMIGHT-NYC: People need to look out for the rest of the CJC to drop this year. Now that Ducksauce is coming his full b-boy crew won't wait. Look for limited runs of all the figs in the next couple of months. Maybe even a skateboard or t-shirt or sumthin'.
TOYSREVIL: Cheers for your time and trouble, gents! (and for tolerating my deadbeatness). In closing, and since tis the Chinese Lunar New Year over here: What is Chinese New Year to you guys?
DYNOMIGHT-NYC: Chinese New Year? Does Dick Clark host that?
