Ninjatown Micro Plush Series 1.5 & 2 by Shawnimals (A Squibbles Ink x Rotofugi Project)
The NINJATOWN MICRO PLUSH Series is a designer toy project produced in collaboration between Chicago-based character designer studio Shawnimals and product development specialists Squibbles Ink + designer toy store Rotofugi. There is even a dedicated toy-website for them at ninjatowntoys.com :)

With characters based on the Ninjatown DS Game - the Ninjatown Micro Plush Series 1.0 was first released in late 2007 (with a special SDCC Macho Micro Plush Ninjatown released at SDCC 2008). And now in 2009, prepare for the imminent invasion of the upcoming Series 1.5 and Series 2.0 releases!

[Above] Series 2 features all new characters, including some from the Ninjatown DS game. Each box also comes with a new sticker and fold-out poster inside. [Below] Series 1.5 is similar to Series 1, except now they are 100% embroidered - which translates to new facial features (inclusive new sticker inside) = pretty lush, methinks.

[See the Zombie Ninja photo below for a comparison]

Both series are coming out in mid- to end-March, possibly into April release and an MSRP of $5.95 each. But if you're lucky, both Ninjatown Micro Plush Series 1.5 and Series 2 might yet see a preview release at this coming weekend's Wondercon in San Francisco (Feb 27 - Mar 1). Booth #1135 is where you should be at :)
