The Spirit 1/6 Silken Floss by Hot Toys
The previously teased Hot Toys 1/6th-scaled female-form from The SPIRIT feature film is revealed to be SILKEN FLOSS! Featuring a headsculpt-likeness of Scarlett Johansson by Hiroki Hayashi, and painting by JC.HONG, with uniform / clothes design by PEIPER - Silken Floss is scheduled for a 2nd quarter-2009 drop - CLICK THRU for more images of the figure, product-stats, as well as a closer look to see how the sculpt stacks up against the real actress. heh.
Silken Floss is the third 12-inch action figure to be released by Hot Toys based on the Frank Miller-directed movie, after The Spirit and The Octopus [PEEP]
TRE-IMPRESSIONS: I reckon the likeness is pretty darn close and quite effective from the crisp shots of the 1/6th-scaled model here (you can see the lurve put into the photography too, IMHO :p). And while the clothes / costume may useful to some (for kitbash purposes) this figure would function as a product by itself. And HT has been releasing far too few femme-figures, IMHO.
No doubt anyone looking to part out this figure, would be in it for the headsculpt primary, no? Hey, the boots look good too here, dunnit? I wonder if it's the same ankle ball-joint set-into the shoe like other HT-releases tho ... hhmm
