JOUWE Splashing Limited Editions for STGCC 2009 / TRE-Review of Black Jouwe Digi Wings
After the reveal of the final Splashing colorways for their Jouwe Digi Wings MyTummyToys unveils their Special Jouwe Digi Wings for the coming Singappore Toy, Games & Comic Con! The trio of resin figures sport the colors of the Singapore flag: Red and White (pretty apt as our nation celebrates their 44th Birthday come August 9th), as well as a new variant of their Black colorway, with Grey eyes.

Meanwhile, perhaps to get better acquainted with the figure to come, CLICK THRU for my visual review of the BLACK Jouwe Digi Wings (by now Sold Out) via the generosity of it's designer and creator, Marine Ramdhani (Twitterable).
PACKAGE: The figure is snuggle-packed in a printed brown carton box, with each individual piece wrapped in bubble-wrap (*Minor-assembly of the figure is needed). Don't make the mistake I did of letting the sticky-tape adhere unto the surface, as it may leave a mark, but treatable with lighter-fluid. Below shows the full-body of Jouwe, complete with removable wings and itty-bitty ball-tail, and tummy :)
ARTICULATION: Jouwe is articulated at the neck (head swivels) and arms. Tight-movement in the joints, as no doubt Jouwe is meant to be posed, but not "rough-house" played with. Technically the wings can "move" as well, but I'd advice against heavy horse-play :p
TREATMENT: No doubt there are little imperfections and pores on the surface, but generally it is pretty darn smooth resin treatment and paint-app! *Kudos* (And my table top is well dusty, so that shows quite a bit on a black surface, no? heh). I did not try to scrap off the spray-paint (why would I? LOL) and you can see the paint app from the joints of the limbs to the body (originally white-resin?).
EXTRAS: The figure comes with a Certificate of Authenticity (nicely printed on textured card-stock paper) and numbered. Signature is at the base of the figure's feet (now shown here, sorry :p). My set came with little cool extras like a sticker, postcard and a button (all house in a white envelope with logo-print / not shown here). All in all, a swell package to be had, IMHO.
SIZE/SAFETY: Standing at around 12 inches tall, and made of resin - JOUWE DIGI WINGS has quite a weight to it, as well as being a handful! Heck, you can knock someone out with it! So keep it away from the younglings, and admire them safely on the display shelves. Shelf-dives should not be an issue because Jouwe stands sturdy steady, but err on the side of caution and keep away from itchy hands wanting to paw the dude! LOL
Kudos to Marin and all at MyTummyToys for a sweetass-figure to be had! :)
