Toy-Teaser: G.N.O.M.E. by Doktor A x RAJE Toys
2 Gnomes cling to my mind's memories thus far today: The world-traveling self-polaroid-taking garden gnome in Jean-Pierre Jeunet's "Amélie", and the red-capped and blue-clad garden gnome in "The Amazing Race" show treasure hunt challenges. Hopefully my world-view of Gnomes will change, heightened with added oomph from the designer toy-world via RAJE Toys' new upcoming, well, G.N.O.M.E. ~ specifically Doktor A's Steam Powered Gnome!

DOKTOR A-blogged about his design proposal to RAJE Toys with his Steam-powered Gnome: "I love the idea that Gnomes are hiding heavy drilling gear under those ubiquitous long pointy hats. The drawing above is literally a scan from my sketch book with text added. It is purely to give them a very basic idea of what the toy would be about. I didnt spend too long on it or render up a finished digital painting or anything in case it really wasn’t what they wanted. As it happens, they loved it."
