Circus Posterus @ San Diego Comic Con 2010
PRESS: Limited edition projects based company Circus Posterus Studios owned and operated by artists Kathie Olivas and Brandt Peters, internationally recognized for their art and toys, worked with Super 7 to officially be the first to present Circus Posterus to fans and collectors at SDCC.
And they are doing it with panache and style ~ by taking over Super7's booth #4729 on Thursday July 22nd (between 2pm to 4pm) with new figures, products, customs and limited edition debuts galore! Not to mention their Mini OG Skelves release @ the Hi-Fructose (booth #4939) on Saturday July 24 (@ 1-3 PM). SUPER 7 (booth #4729)
WHEN: Thursday, July 22, 2-4 PM
The event will feature not only Peters and Olivas but neo-Victorian oddity and otherworldly portrait master painter Travis Louie -- He will debut his 2nd volume postcard collection. The first 100 sets will include a choice of a mini giclee print, signed and numbered by Travis. Travis will also introducing his first limited edition resin figure prototype with Circus Posterus – in their upcoming Skelve Custom Artist Series: Stan.
Chris Ryniak, renowned painter-sculptor ‘creature creator’ will debut the second and third Freyja figure releases with Dune’ Freyja and Abyss’ Freyja. Each figure is hand painted by Chris and is offered in a very limited quantity. Chris will debut his prototype to the Skelve Custom Artist Series: Cuspid.
Kathie Olivas will be releasing a limited number of her new ‘Masao’ Cat Skelve resin figure edition. Brandt continues his Skelve figure line-up with his second release – White Shadow Skelve + debut of CP’s 24” Skelve prototype. In addition, both artists will be releasing a small amount of hand-painted custom figures as well as their new 2010 postcard set. All debut releases are available on a first come basis, limited to one per customer – Less than the actual edition of these releases will be offered at the event.

They will be introducing their first mini Skelve figure, the Mini “OG” Skelve. This figure is cast in resin and hand-painted; they will retail for $50 each. The release is available on a first come basis and only one per customer -- Less than the actual edition of these releases will be offered at the event.
