Custom Works On TOYSREVIL (Jan/30/2011)

From Ryan Vulk of grphka.com comes a cool-custom mixing the panache of art toys and the cast-iron classic sci-fi-cred - with "AT3A" = A little mash-up with an AT-AT Driver from Star Wars, mixed with a little 3A love with a DIY Bamba Lad vinyl figure. I reckon I'll let the custom speak for itself, yeh? *Awesome*

UK-artist Sarah Miskelly aka Lunabee has been quietly customizing a host of figures, all for an upcoming show at USA's Dragatomi, and she releases preview snaps of three of said customs, and with one glance you know tis gonna be an awesome show, right?



UK-customizer Squink brings up yet another Dunny-custom in the vein of Winter's End, with THE CREEP. A devious moniker to name anyone, I'm sure, but the irresistible snap of the critter in the palm of his hands really adds credence to the title, doesn't it?



Rotobox Vinyl Anatomica releases images of their custom commissioned Qee-custom with VOLTRON 2.0. Spencer Ong adds: "We already did a Voltron custom qee before but this is different in ways that we based this one on the classic Voltron toy where the white parts of the body, legs and arms are silver."

Custom Toy Union readies their next series of custom-battles - with "Battle Bracket 2". The open themed contest utilizes g 2.5" Qees as the platform, it will be in a bracket format with entries randomly matched up in head to head battles. CTU members will vote on the separate bracket battles until only one customizer remains.The deadline is March 1st, 2010 @ midnight PST. Sometime last year Naoko Shimojo (from Danke Schoen) and Shin Tanaka got married (Congrats!), as well they had an exhibition titled LOVE MOVEMENT - held in New People, San Francisco, curated by Jeremy Riad, whereby a slew of folks around the world was invited to customize both blank a Danke Shoen-vinyl figure alongside a T-Boy vinyl. The results of which bore a show which exhibited at Superfrog Gallery (video coverage of which posted below), as well the opening of an online store @ http://lovemovement.storenvy.com/ - the news of which this particular post was derived from.
