i like local toys

funkbuilders is a local (singapore) online collective and community-hub for designers and artists, with loads of kewl pix+designs, interviews and with an emphasis on collaborations ... and i am at my wits' end trying to describe what is it they do, so go read about them now before i make a simpleton out of myself :p



found this kewl fig on the ningyoushi forum and thought it looked pretty darn cute kewl and might be something i'd liketa own personnally, so thought to share this here. actual pix of Holy Devil here.

just like the good folks down at Play Imaginative = not content with their excellent toys-magazine Play Times (for which im a silent-but-"active"-supporter), they are also the designers for Trexi, for which i ashamedly missed out on the Exhibition cum Trexi Series 02 Launch down at cineleisure; october just ... and with the drool-worthy collective of toy-designers and artists present, all i can now is but to view the proceedings here and here (click on image titled "brothers@singapore" on page-right) *heavy-sigh*

and no, i do not know any of them personally and have absolutely no permission at all whatsoever to use their pix ... am just secretly happy that there are people out there ("locally", i mean) that are out making their own toys; in one way or another ... a dream i have had for a while now but unfulfilled becoz im a slackasswannabe tho the day will come and soon ... i hope?
